Michelle Jerry Heart &Hooves Horsemanship
Michelle Jerry is a passionate horsewoman, educator, and mentor dedicated to building confident horses and confident people. She is a Ken McNabb Master Trainer, having trained under Ken McNabb, and has also ridden and trained alongside Josh Lyons, gaining valuable hands-on experience from both programs.
Michelle believes true horsemanship is built on trust, communication, and partnership—not force. While she values formal education and mentorship, she firmly believes that some of the greatest lessons come directly from the horse. Each horse she works with is a teacher, and their responses, challenges, and progress guide her approach every day.
In addition, Michelle has spent years studying the great horsemen, learning their techniques and philosophies, and thoughtfully applying that knowledge to help her students succeed. She blends proven methods with real-world experience, using what works to support each horse-and-rider pair in a fair, effective, and individualized way.
Her training philosophy focuses on developing a solid foundation, understanding the “why” behind each exercise, and creating a willing partnership where horse and rider grow together. Michelle adapts her approach to meet the needs of the individual horse rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all program.
Known for her encouraging and supportive teaching style, Michelle truly gets her students and understands the struggles, doubts, and challenges they face. She meets them where they are, builds confidence step by step, and helps them move forward with clarity and purpose—both in and out of the saddle. She is deeply committed to creating a welcoming, supportive community wherever the Heart & Hooves name is present.
Today, Michelle has expanded Michelle Jerry Heart & Hooves Horsemanship to include a strong network of accredited trainers working alongside her, all sharing and teaching the same Heart & Hooves foundation. Together, they provide consistent, quality instruction while fostering an encouraging, respectful, and connected community wherever Heart & Hooves travels.
