VP: Katie Korn

Hello and welcome all to NWEC! My name is Katie Korn, and I am the vice president of the Northwest Wisconsin Equine Club. I am the mom of two beautiful daughters and the wife of a very supportive husband in all my adventures. When I am not working full time, running kids around, or doing mom duties, you can catch me at the barn, hanging out with my horses. I own two geldings. Phoenix is a flea-bitten grey gelding, and Dozer is a Percheron-Tennessee Walker cross. I enjoy trail riding and just started gaming last year. I am looking forward to supporting the club and helping it grow into the future.

Treasurer: Alesha Pecha

Hello, my name is Alesha Pecha and I am the treasurer for the Northwest Equine Club. I live in Hayward with my husband and two daughters. Our family is very involved with the animal industry through this club, as a leader of our local 4H club, working at a local veterinarian clinic, and as owners of a small beef cattle herd. Our favorite animals, of course, are two horses, "Flicka," a Mustang, and "Nova," a Missouri Fox Trotter. My daughter learned how to show because of this club, and I'm very excited to help it touch the lives of so many more people.

Co- Treasurer: Kati Stumph

Welcome to NWEC! My name is Kati Stumph, I am  the current co-treasurer of the club and an Occupational Therapist at Spooner Health. My passion for horses came later in life. It was my Mom’s dream for me to ride as a kid but I chose a different path. After having kids of my own, my Mom quickly swooped in and got them hooked on horses. She had so many dreams and so many ideas for the girls. Sadly, she passed away too young which prompted me to make her dreams my dreams. Fast forward…My husband and I purchased a hobby farm in Springbrook and have supported the kids in all their horse endeavors! Through this process I found my love for horses which brings me here today!

Secretary: Karla Meier

Hello Everyone! I’m the new secretary for the Northwest Wisconsin Equine Club! I have lived in Northern Wisconsin all my life and greatly enjoy what Wisconsin has to offer.  My husband and I are empty nesters now and I’m getting back to the passions of my life which involve my love of horses. Between my husband and I, we have 4 kids, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. I keep myself busy between working fulltime for Northwood Technical College and working with my horses. I have two quarter horses now, my mare Cameo and her 2 yr. old colt Benny. I enjoy horseback riding, canoeing/kayaking, hiking, turkey hunting, bear hunting, and of course, deer hunting.  Looking forward to meeting new members coming into the club and getting our show ready for this summer!
